Light & Shade

A big part of an aspiring model's schedule is taken up with go-sees which involve visiting potential clients, photographers and designers. The go-see acts as an opportunity for a model to introduce herself and to hopefully generate interest for future projects. Australian photographer Lachlan Bailey captures some of modelling's up and coming faces as they drop into his studio. Bailey's go-see snaps are not your typical polaroids but rather illustrate the photographer's very personal take on light, colour and beauty, creating images which stay long with you after the model has exited out the door. Bailey is a regular contributor to publications including British Vogue, Dazed & Confused, US Harpers Bazaar, Numéro, the Last Magazine and Muse.
